MDS has been appointed a Lloyd’s broker – opening doors to the largest specialised insurance market in the world with the most renowned professionals who manage emerging and complex risks.
With this appointment, MDS is able to directly place – without dealing with foreign brokers - more complex risks such as environmental, cyber, natural disasters or large industrial.
MDS is the only Portuguese-speaking broker among the 258 that work worldwide with Lloyd’s of London. An historic moment, not only for the insurance sector, but also for the Portuguese economy.
The national insurance market "gains international visibility and access to the most prestigious insurance hub, with a range of syndicates that will protect all imaginable risks Portuguese companies may be exposed to”, says José Manuel Dias da Fonseca, CEO of MDS Group, in an interview with the Expresso newspaper.
