The MDS Group has refreshed its Board of Directors to reflect the growing size and complexity of the group and to strengthen its corporate governance. The move sees Christophe Cornu join the board as Non-Executive Chairman, and Ângelo Paupério as Non-Executive Director.

Christophe Cornu brings extensive international experience to the MDS Group, his previous roles including President of Nestlé France, CEO Nestlé Suisse and Chief Commercial Officer Nespresso. His appointment highlights MDS Group’s ability to attract leading global executives.

Ângelo Paupério joins the board following a longstanding connection with the MDS Group, having previously served on its Board of Directors when Sonae was a shareholder. A senior executive within the Sonae universe, a multinational company that manages a diversified portfolio of businesses in various sectors, he is currently a board member of Efanor and Sonae and Chairman of the Board of Directors of NOS, and has also held prominent roles as CFO, Executive Vice-President and Co-CEO of Sonae SGPS. His extensive experience and deep knowledge of the business ecosystem reinforce the strategic continuity of the MDS Group.

Further additions to the Board of Directors, representing MDS Group sole shareholder The Ardonagh Group, are John Tiner, Group Chairman, and Des O’Connor, Group CCO.

José Manuel Fonseca remains Group CEO and Chairman of the Executive Committee, with the rest of the executive team composed of José Diogo Silva, Group CFO; Ricardo Pinto dos Santos, Group COO and CEO Portugal; and Álvaro Mengotti, Head of International and CEO Spain.
